Stud or Dud provides an AI-powered dating background check and evaluation platform that allows users to:
- Search publicly available records associated with individuals.
- Receive AI-generated reports including risk assessments and compatibility scores.
- Manage dating interactions through a private CRM.
- Rate and track individuals as part of personal dating decisions.
3. Important Disclaimers About Our Service
Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
Stud or Dud is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. The Service does not provide “consumer reports” as defined by the FCRA.
Prohibited Uses
You may not use information obtained through the Service for:
- Employment screening or hiring decisions.
- Tenant or housing screening.
- Credit, insurance, or lending decisions.
- Any purpose requiring FCRA compliance.
- Stalking, harassment, or intimidation of any individual.
- Any illegal purpose.
Accuracy of Information
Information provided through the Service is sourced from publicly available records and may not be complete, accurate, or up to date. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information. AI-generated analyses, scores, and narratives are for informational purposes only and should not be treated as definitive assessments of any individual.
4. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful or prohibited purpose.
- Attempt to access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the Service.
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without permission.
- Impersonate any person or entity.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.

- Share your account credentials with others or allow others to access your account.
- Use the Service to build a competing product or service.
6. Subscriptions and Payments

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STUD OR DUD AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Stud or Dud and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time through the Service settings. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including Sections 3, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 13.
13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
